Well Done 5B

SO far we have engaged in very serious and interesting discussion about Ratio.

Just a point to note, give constructive feedback and comment when necessary. This is not a place to chat, and please use your own names as we need to track the people who participated actively in the blog. We need a record of the pupils who are able to give good comments. (Have deleted all unnecessary comments)

Let's continue this spirit of inquiry in our journey!

Some pictures to share :D Enjoy~

Introducing Mr Tall & Mr Short

A famous ratio example is called Mr Short & Mr Tall.

"When we measure Mr Short with sticks, he is 4 sticks tall. When we measure him with paper clips he is 6 paper clips tall."

"When we measure Mr Tall with sticks, he is 6 sticks tall. How many paper clips do we need to measure Mr Tall's height?"

How many paper clips do you think we need to measure Mr Tall's height?
Explain your answer.

Is time a type of ratio?

Time...

What is the time now???
What are the different ways of representing time?

We know that we use the ':' for ratio. Eg. 2:3

But is the ':' in time the same as the ':' in ratio???

What do you think? Hmmmz...
